Dr. S. Yusuf Shere

Dr. Shere grew up in Houston, graduating from Klein High School. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Shere obtained his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He received the prestigious Merritt-Parks Award from Baylor as the most outstanding senior dental student in Periodontics. Prior to entering his residency in Periodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Dr. Shere practiced general dentistry for five years-three with the National Health Service Corps. In obtaining his master’s degree in Periodontics with his thesis being devoted to Dental Implants, Dr. Shere gained extensive surgical experience. Also, he is licensed to administer parental conscious sedation. He is currently Clinical Assistant Professor at UT-Houston Dental Branch and is fully board-certified by The American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Shere is a member of The American Academy of Periodontology, The Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Outside of the office, Dr. Shere enjoys sports, exercising, and reading. He is married with two children. Dr. Shere has a sincere vision of providing the highest quality of care, with a professional and ethical focus on the best interest on his patients.
